Dr. Corrinne Kalafut is a licensed psychologist who specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based approaches with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Kalafut works collaboratively with her patients, empowering them to develop the skills needed for improved emotional functioning and achievement of their personal goals. Particular areas of interest include: anxiety disorders, executive functioning deficits, depression, stress management, parenting and familial issues, educational consulting, and psycho-educational assessment.
Dr. Kalafut graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seton Hall University, earning a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology. She continued her graduate training at Seton Hall University, earning her Masters of Arts in Psychological Studies, and an Educational Specialist Degree in School and Community Psychology. She became certified as a school psychologist, and has 15 years of experience working in this role. As such, Dr. Kalafut has extensive training and expertise in learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, developing educational and behavior plans, facilitating social skills and anxiety reduction groups, school refusal, and assessing levels of self-injurious and assaultive risk.
While working in the school setting, Dr. Kalafut completed her Doctor of Psychology degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2012. She is licensed to practice privately in the state of New Jersey.
Dr. Kalafut has been a member of the National Association of School Psychologists and the New Jersey Association of School Psychologists. She is currently a member of the American Psychological Association and New Jersey Psychological Association.
