Dr. Megan H. Nervi is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral treatment approaches with children, adolescents, and adults.  Dr. Nervi appreciates the deeply personal nature of the therapeutic relationship and therefore works diligently to develop a warm, receptive, and trusting environment for each of her clients.  Particular areas of specialty include anxiety and mood disorders, post-partum depression, mindfulness and resilience, relationship issues, spirituality, issues of adjustment and school performance, grief and loss, parenting, and trauma work.  Dr. Nervi also has a special interest in art therapy and the many ways in which creative expression of our inner experience can facilitate greater emotional well-being and resilience.

Dr. Nervi graduated with honors from Loyola University (formally College) in Baltimore, MD earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology.  Before returning to graduate school, she spent time working as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ (UMDNJ) facilitating clinical drug trials for various psychotropic medications.  Dr. Nervi earned her Master of Arts and her Doctorate of Psychology degrees from Widener University. While working as a graduate student, she completed various clinical rotations throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey including an APA approved pre-doctoral internship at Widener with a rotation at Rutgers University – Department of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).  In addition, she spent several years as a staff psychologist at Seton Hall University working in the counseling center and assisting with the university’s Sexual Assault Response Team.

In addition to her work as a clinician, Dr. Nervi is also a very active member of her community and continues to serve in leadership roles both with her church and in the local school system.
