Dr. Cynthia Abinader is a clinical neuropsychologist with specialized expertise in the assessment of older adults with complex medical and neurological conditions. She received her B.A. in psychology from Fordham University in New York, graduating with honors. She went on to earn both her master’s degree and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in neuropsychology, from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania. Dr. Abinader completed pre-doctoral internship rotations at Temple University Hospital and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she gained broad exposure to inpatient and outpatient neuropsychological services. She then completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Abinader has extensive experience evaluating adults and older adults presenting with a wide range of conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer’s disease and atypical dementias), movement disorders, traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy, brain tumors, autoimmune conditions, and post-acute cognitive concerns following COVID-19 infection. She has also developed particular expertise in the evaluation of individuals being considered for neurosurgical intervention, including pre-surgical candidacy assessments for Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) and High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) in patients with Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor.
As a Spanish-speaking provider, Dr. Abinader is committed to offering culturally responsive and linguistically appropriate care for bilingual and Spanish-speaking individuals. Dr. Richard Dauber is a founding partner of the Morris Psychological Group, P.A. and Director of Child and Adolescent Services. Dr. Dauber is a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience. His practice includes cognitive-behavioral therapy of children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Dauber also specializes in clinical hypnosis and sport psychology. He is an Approved Consultant in Clinical Hypnosis from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. In addition to his individual work, Dr. Dauber also helps couples and families.
Dr. Dauber received his B.A. in psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received both his Masters and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Loyola University of Chicago. Dr. Dauber completed a clinical externship in child psychology at the Siegel Institute of Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago as well as his internship at Mt. Zion Hospital in San Francisco. He has specialized post-doctoral training in family therapy, hypnosis, short-term therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and forensic psychology. Dr. Dauber was formerly a staff psychologist at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville as well as senior psychologist at the Dutton Counseling Center in Morristown. He is presently on staff at Overlook Hospital in Summit, as well as Morristown Medical Center. He is also on the faculty of the Clinical Hypnosis Society of New Jersey.
Dr. Dauber has published several articles and frequently lectures to both professional and non-professional groups on a variety of topics including: Hypnosis, Anxiety Disorders, Pain Management, Parenting Issues, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Social Skills, Conflict Resolution and Sport Psychology. Dr. Dan DaSilva is a neuropsychologist with specialties in aviation and pediatric neuropsychology. He earned his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a masters of education in Counseling Psychology from The University of Massachusetts at Boston, and bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boston College. He completed specialized neuropsychology training through the Veteran’s Administration in a consortium with UMDNJ and University Hospital in Newark, NJ.
A significant portion of his practice is devoted to neuropsychological and psychological assessments of pilots and air traffic controllers. He serves as a neuropsychology consultant to the Federal Air Surgeon of the Federal Aviation Administration and is an external consultant for several major airlines. He has presented at national and international conferences and symposia on the subject of aviation neuropsychology and has been accepted by the National Transportation Safety Board as qualified to provide expert testimony in aviation neuropsychology at NTSB hearings.
Dr. DaSilva is also a neuropsychological consultant to the pediatric neuro-oncology and pediatric seizure disorder programs at Morristown Medical Center and at Overlook Medical Center in Atlantic Healthcare’s Neurosciences Institute. He has extensive experience in the evaluation of pediatric neurocognitive disorders including those resulting from traumatic brain injury, cancer, infections, and developmental disorders, as well as the full range of learning disabilities. Following the evaluations, Dr. DaSilva can assist in coordinating interventions with parents, schools, and treating clinicians. Dr. DaSilva also has extensive experience in providing consultation services to both school districts and parents in education law cases and has testified before the Office of Administrative Law.
Dr. DaSilva is a lecturer at the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education where he teaches functional neuroanatomy and neuropsychology. He is currently serving on the New Jersey Psychological Association’s Executive Board, has served on a number of state association committees, and is past chair of the Council on Legislative Affairs. He is a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, American Psychological Association, New Jersey Psychological Association, Aerospace Medical Association, and the Aerospace Human Factors Association.

Dr. Kenneth Freundlich, the Morris Psychological Group’s Managing Partner, heads the Neuropsychology and Consulting Divisions. With over 40 years of experience, Dr. Freundlich’s practice is exclusively devoted to neuropsychological evaluation and management consultation.
Dr. Freundlich received his B.A. in psychology from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he graduated with honors. He received both his Masters degree and Ph.D. in clinical psychology, with a specialization in neuropsychology from the University of Florida, where he was awarded presidential recognition for outstanding contribution to the University. Dr. Freundlich completed his internship training at the Philadelphia Psychiatric Center. Prior to joining the Morris Psychological Group, he was a staff neuropsychologist at the Pathway School, the Director of Psychological Services at Welkind Rehabilitation Hospital and the Director of Neuropsychology Associates.
Dr. Freundlich previoulsly served as an Independent Evaluator for most major insurance companies, and he testified in New Jersey Superior Court. He is currently on the Medical Staff at Overlook Medical Center and Morristown Medical Center, where he is a consultant to the BrainWorks Cognitive Rehabilitation Program.
Dr. Freundlich also provides consultation to various public and private organizations. His corporate clients have included AT&T, The Travelers Group, Finlandia Cheese, AST Bearings and USACS. He also provides consultation to Roxbury and Mendham Township Police Departments.

Dr. Daniel N. Watter received his doctoral degree from New York University in 1985 and has also earned a post-graduate certificate in Medical Humanities from Drew University. He is licensed as both a psychologist and a marital and family therapist. In addition, he is Board Certified in Sex Therapy by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), and the American Board of Sexology (ACS), of which is also holds Fellowship status. Dr. Watter is an AASECT certified sex therapy supervisor and has been elected to Fellowship Status in the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH).
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Watter has held several faculty appointments. Currently, he is a faculty member at the University of Michigan School of Social Work’s Sexual Certification Program and the Modern Sex Therapy Institutes. Dr. Hayley Hirschmann is a clinical psychologist in private practice with the Morris Psychological Group, P.A. in Parsippany. Dr. Hirschmann received her B.A. in psychology from the University of Michigan in 1990. She went on to obtain her Master’s degree (1991) and Ph.D. (1995) in clinical/school psychology from Hofstra University. Before coming to Morris Psychological group, Dr. Hirschmann worked as an Assistant Program Supervisor at the outpatient mental health clinic of South Nassau Communities Hospital on Long Island. While working there, she was trained as a member of the Nassau County Critical Incident Response Team and responded to several local disasters.
Dr. Hirschmann is on the medical staff at Saint Barnabas Medical Center (in Livingston, NJ) and works part-time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, providing support opportunities for new parents facing the trauma of having a newborn in the ICU. Dr. Steven Rego is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with individuals and couples. Dr. Rego has also worked at the Special Treatment Unit, the New Jersey facility for sexually violent predators, where he specialized in group and individual treatment. He was also on staff at the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Avenel, NJ, the prison for repetitive and compulsive sexual offenders. Mr. Rego also has extensive private practice experience working individuals and couples.

Dr. Jayne Schachter is a clinical psychologist with more than 30 years of experience in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
