Dr. Sharron Spriggs is a clinical psychologist, specializing in insight-oriented treatment for adolescents and adults. With a firm belief in the interconnectedness of current symptoms and early childhood experiences, Dr. Spriggs guides her patients to comprehend the underlying factors shaping their thoughts, feelings, and understanding of their current situations. Her expertise extends to substance abuse and childhood trauma.

In addition to providing therapy, Dr. Spriggs conducts clinical assessments for individuals of all ages. Her assessments cover a spectrum of concerns, including police evaluations, substance abuse, personality disorders, stroke, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Dr. Spriggs has honed her treatment expertise through her work with the New Jersey Veterans Affairs Administration. Her tailored treatment approach for veterans dealing with substance abuse, military sexual assault, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder has enhanced the lives of the many individuals with whom she has collaborated. Additionally, Dr. Spriggs also holds an Assistant Adjunct position in the Psychology Department at John Jay College in New York City.

Dr. Spriggs earned her Ph.D. from Fairleigh Dickinson University, focusing on the impact of viewing police-related trauma via social media. She obtained her MA in clinical psychology from Columbia University and completed her BA in Applied Psychology from Coppin State University. Actively engaged in professional associations, Dr. Spriggs is a member of the New Jersey Psychological Association and the New Jersey Association of Black Psychologists.
